Manchester United have reportedly told Barcelona to name their price for Ivan Rakitic.
Rakitic enjoyed another productive season for Barca during the 2018-19 campaign, scoring five times and contributing 10 assists in 54 appearances in all competitions.
The 31-year-old will see his current deal at Camp Nou expire in June 2021, though, and Inter Milan have been linked with a swoop for the Croatia international.
According to Sport, United have also made contact with Barca to discuss a move for Rakitic, who could be sold in order to raise funds to improve the squad at Camp Nou.
The 2018 World Cup finalist joined Barca from Sevilla in the summer of 2014 and has won four La Liga titles, four Copa del Rey crowns and one Champions League during his time with the club.
United, meanwhile, are also said to be preparing a £50m offer for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a bid to land the England Under-21 international ahead of the new campaign.
