Manchester United have reportedly had a loan move for Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino rejected, with the two clubs unable to agree on terms.
Capped 41 times at international level by Uruguay, Vecino has made 10 starts for Inter so far this season.
According to Sky Sports News, United's loan move was rejected after the two clubs failed to agree on terms for the move.
The report adds that the Old Trafford club see Vecino as a short-term replacement for the injured Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba.
The two clubs have already done business this window with Ashley Young moving from Manchester to Milan, while Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez made the same switch during the summer.
Inter are also said to be in discussions with Napoli about a swap deal that would see Vecino leave and Allan arrive in his place.
