Manchester United will reportedly inform Real Madrid that they are not prepared to go above £60m for Alvaro Morata.
The Red Devils are believed to have had a £52.4m offer rejected by Real Madrid, but it was claimed on Wednesday that the Premier League giants were still confident of completing a deal in this summer's transfer window.
Real Madrid are said to value Morata at £78m, but according to The Mirror, Man United's final offer will be £60m as they look to resist being dragged into a transfer saga ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
Morata, who netted in Spain's 2-2 draw with Colombia on Wednesday night, scored 20 times in all competitions for his Spanish outfit last season, including 15 in just 14 La Liga starts.
Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are both expected to leave Man United this summer, with Jose Mourinho preparing to alter his squad in a bid to challenge for next season's Premier League title.
