Manchester United reportedly offered Phil Jones to West Ham United in their attempts to sign Issa Diop.
United are said to have identified Diop as a potential summer signing, with the Red Devils reportedly offering £45m plus a player for the former Toulouse youngster over the weekend.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils player in question was Jones, who only signed a new contract with the 20-time English champions in February.
However, the report claims that the Hammers rejected the offer as they have no intention of selling Diop this summer and are also not interested in bringing Jones to the London Stadium.
Manuel Pellegrini's side, though, would seemingly be open to a swap deal if United included Anthony Martial.
The Red Devils are widely expected to sign a new centre-back this summer. However, a move for Leicester City's Harry Maguire seems unlikely with the two clubs reportedly £40m apart when it comes to their valuation of the England international.
