Manchester United are reportedly prepared to accept offers for midfielder Christian Eriksen during the summer transfer window.
Following an eye-catching spell at fellow Premier League side Brentford, the Denmark international made the move to Old Trafford on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.
Eriksen was a key player for Erik ten Hag during his maiden campaign in charge on the red side of Manchester, starting 25 Premier League matches as the Red Devils secured a Champions League spot.
However, the midfielder's influence has waned over the course of the 2023-24 term, with the ex-Tottenham Hotspur man starting just nine matches in the top flight.
Eriksen remains an integral part of his national side as Denmark prepare for the European Championships in Germany this summer, appearing in March friendlies versus the Faroe Islands and Switzerland.
Man Utd ready to offload Eriksen?
According to Football Insider, Manchester United are ready to offload Eriksen during the upcoming transfer window, with his two-year spell at the club drawing to a close.
The report claims that the Dane is a big earner at Old Trafford, where new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is looking to make drastic changes to football operations at the club.
Eriksen's current deal with the Red Devils expires at the conclusion of the 2024-25 term, however it is understood that the 32-year-old could be departing this summer instead.
Falling down the pecking order in terms of Ten Hag's midfield options, the former Ajax man stated that he is not happy with his current game time for United.
Eriksen appeared as a second-half substitute during Man United's dramatic semi-final victory over Coventry City in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon at Wembley.
Benfica, Everton stars 'targeted to replace Eriksen at Man Utd'
It was reported last week that Man United are moving to recruit at least two midfielders ahead of the new season, with Ratcliffe ready to oversee his maiden transfer window as minority owner.
Benfica's Joao Neves is said to be a leading target for the Red Devils, however the Portuguese starlet is believed to have a hefty £102m release clause in his current deal.
Amadou Onana of Everton is also of interest to Man United ahead of the off-season trading point, with the Belgian potentially representing a budget alternative to Neves.
Alongside Eriksen, Brazilian veteran Casemiro is expected to depart Old Trafford in the summer, with the Red Devils planning an overhaul to their engine room. body check tags ::
