Manchester United are reportedly questioning whether they should make another attempt to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, due to the form of teenage talent Mason Greenwood.
The 19-year-old, who scored in United's 3-1 victory at Aston Villa last weekend, has surpassed Wayne Rooney to become the club's highest scoring teenager in the Premier League with 16 goals.
Greenwood has starred for the Red Devils this campaign and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has helped the forward transform from a promising fringe player to an important first-team member.
United have been heavily linked with Sancho for over a year and a deal to sign the England international failed to materialise last summer, as Dortmund valued the winger at around £120m.
That valuation is believed to have dropped to around £80m but, according to the Manchester Evening News, United now see Greenwood as their 'standout' right-wing option, and may decide against a move for Sancho this summer, prioritising other targets in different positions.
Greenwood has featured 48 times in all competitions for United so far this season, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists.
