Manchester United have reportedly sent at least one scout to assess the development of Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare and Lyon forward Moussa Dembele.
Throughout the January window, United have been linked with a number of central midfielders and strikers as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to strengthen his first-team squad.
Although completing a deal for Soumare or Dembele before the end of the month appears unlikely, United look to be considering offers for the French duo.
According to Sky Sports News, United had a representative in the stands as the pair played for their respective sides in the Coupe de la Ligue semi-finals.
While Lille are still to decide on when to cash in on Soumare, the youngster is said to be open to a move to Chelsea over signing for United.
As a result of a serious knee injury to Memphis Depay, Lyon have little intention of parting ways with Dembele before the end of the season.
