Manchester United have reportedly not given up on signing Sporting Lisbon attacker Bruno Fernandes before the January transfer window closes for business.
The Portugal international has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford since the start of the month, but United allegedly pulled out of negotiations last week after failing to come to an agreement over a transfer fee.
According to The Sun, however, the Red Devils still believe that they can complete a move for the attacking midfielder before Friday's transfer deadline.
The report claims that Sporting have agreed to lower their £68m valuation to £60m, although the Portuguese club would still want the majority of the transfer fee upfront.
The 25-year-old has been in impressive form at club level during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 15 times and contributing 14 assists in all competitions.
The 20-time English champions could also allegedly complete a move for Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare before the end of the transfer window.
