Manchester United are reportedly still open to selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka during this summer's transfer window despite the right-back's impressive form since the 2022 World Cup.

The 25-year-old was widely expected to leave Old Trafford in January, having been out of favour at Man United in the first half of the 2022-23 campaign.

However, a hamstring injury for Diogo Dalot opened the door for Wan-Bissaka to enjoy a run in the side, and he has been a regular in recent weeks due to Dalot's fitness problems.

Wan-Bissaka has started seven of Man United's last eight Premier League matches, but he was not involved against Leeds United on Wednesday night through illness.

Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag said ahead of Sunday's clash with Leeds that the defender could be back in the squad at Elland Road.

"I expect this squad is the same [as it was on Wednesday], except I hope Aaron Wan-Bissaka can return," Ten Hag told MUTV. "Yesterday (Wednesday) he wasn't there by illness, so I hope he can return for Sunday."

However, according to Football Insider, Man United are still willing to sell Wan-Bissaka this summer, as Dalot remains the first-choice right-back when fit and available.

The report claims that Man United value the Englishman in the region of £22m, with West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers thought to be interested.

Wan-Bissaka moved to Old Trafford from Palace in July 2019, with the 20-time English champions paying around £50m for his services.

The full-back has now entered the final 18 months of his contract, although Man United do have the option of activating an additional year to protect his valuation.

Ten Hag said in December that it was "clear" Wan-Bissaka had "a future" at Old Trafford amid the speculation surrounding a potential exit in the winter window.

"Aaron Wan-Bissaka, it is clear he has a future (here)," Ten Hag told reporters. "He's had some good years with United, but from the start of this season he had a lot of illnesses and injuries, and so was running behind.

"His fitness levels are getting better, his performance levels are getting better."

Ahead of the 2022 World Cup, Wan-Bissaka's only football this season had been the final four minutes of the Premier League contest with Liverpool at the end of August.

Dalot recently extended his contract with Man United until June 2024, although the club are believed to be keen to hand the Portugal international a long-term deal to reflect his importance to the side. body check tags ::
