Manchester United will reportedly be at the head of the queue if Barcelona decide to sell Ansu Fati during this summer's transfer window.
The 20-year-old is currently being heavily linked with a move away from Camp Nou due to his struggles when it comes to securing regular starts during the 2022-23 campaign.
Fati has been a regular for his Catalan club this season, featuring on 38 occasions in all competitions, but he has only managed six goals and three assists.
The Spain international has only started nine times in La Liga this term, meanwhile, with head coach Xavi often preferring other options in the final third of the field.
Fati still has another four years left to run on his contract at Barcelona, with the option of an additional two years, but there have been claims that he could be on the move this summer.
The youngster's father, Bori Fati, has hit out at Barcelona in an explosive interview, urging his son to leave the club during this summer's transfer window.
"Ansu does not want to leave Barcelona, but I want to see him succeed. I won't go to the stadium anymore, I'm very angry with the club. In a month we will meet with Jorge Mendes (agent), for sure," Bori Fati told COPE before going on to reveal that he had 'urged his son to leave'.
According to SPORT, a number of clubs, including Chelsea, Newcastle United and Arsenal, are keeping a close eye on the Spaniard's situation at Camp Nou.
However, the report claims that Man United would be the favourites to sign Fati during this summer's transfer window if it became clear that Barcelona were open to a sale.
Fati was once regarded as one of the best young talents in world football, making his debut for the Catalan outfit in 2019, and he has already featured on 96 occasions for the club, scoring 25 goals and registering nine assists.
The forward missed 47 matches at club level between November 2020 and September 2021 due to a serious knee injury, though, and he has since been absent with two separate hamstring problems, with the fitness issues harming his development.
Man United are said to be long-term admirers of Fati, and Barcelona could be forced into a major sale this summer due to their financial issues, especially if they wish to re-sign Lionel Messi.
The 20-time English champions are expected to spend heavily on a new centre-forward this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane seen as the club's leading target.
However, another attacker could also arrive in the upcoming market, as Wout Weghorst is only on loan from Burnley, while Anthony Martial could be sold due to his constant fitness problems in 2022-23. body check tags ::
