Manchester United are reportedly prepared to sign Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale on loan, potentially for two seasons.
The return of head coach Zinedine Zidane has left Bale on the periphery of Real's first-team squad, although the attacker is allegedly happy to see out the remainder of his contract at the Bernabeu.
However, despite those claims, it appears unlikely that Bale would be content with remaining on the sidelines for another three years, which leaves United as a potential destination for the Wales international.
According to The Mirror, the Premier League giants are ready to try to sign Bale on a temporary basis over the coming weeks.
The report hints that United would be open to paying Bale's wages in full, as well as keeping the player at Old Trafford for a further 12 months.
United are allegedly against signing Bale on a full-time basis, partly due to his fitness issues over the last two campaigns.
