Manchester United are reportedly prioritising a summer deal for Crystal Palace attacker Michael Olise over PSV Eindhoven forward Johan Bakayoko.
Olise, 22, has been restricted to just 11 Premier League appearances during the 2023-24 campaign due to injury, but he has impressed in his limited action, scoring six goals and registering three assists.
The attacker's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with Manchester City and Chelsea both believed to be keen to sign the France Under-21s international this summer.
Man United have also been linked with his services, and according to Fussball News, the 20-time English champions are planning to move for him at the end of the campaign.
The report claims that Bakayoko is also admired by Erik ten Hag's side, but Olise is seen as the main target, with Man United's minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe believing that he would be a better fit for the team.
Bakayoko is thought to be available for around £50m this summer, with Liverpool also believed to be keen on the 20-year-old, who has scored eight goals and registering 13 assists in 40 appearances for PSV this term.
The Belgium international has another two years left to run on his contract in the Netherlands but is expected to be on the move during this summer's transfer window.
Olise was in strong form for Palace last term, scoring twice and registering 11 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions, and there is believed to be a release clause in his contract this summer.
The attacker made the move to the Eagles from Reading in the summer of 2021, and he has represented his current side on 82 occasions, scoring 12 goals and registering 22 assists in the process.
Man United are thought to be keen to sign a new right-sided forward this summer, with Antony struggling to make his mark during the 2023-24 campaign.
Jadon Sancho is also set to move on permanently, with Borussia Dortmund keen to re-sign the England international on a permanent basis.
Alejandro Garnacho has operated off the right in recent weeks, with Marcus Rashford playing from the left and Rasmus Hojlund through the middle.
The Red Devils are also keen to sign a new centre-back and central midfielder, and the club are expected to be active even if they miss out on Champions League football for next season.
Ten Hag's side are currently sixth in the Premier League table, six points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and nine from fourth-placed Aston Villa, who have played a game more. body check tags ::
