Manchester United are reportedly considering a swoop for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
The Red Devils were linked with the 22-year-old during Jose Mourinho's time as head coach but never officially made an offer.
According to La Republicca, though, United could reignite their interest in the Serbia international with Fiorentina prepared to listen to offers in the region of £34m.
Milenkovic, who joined La Viola from Partizan in 2017, has scored three times in 12 Serie A appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.
United signed Harry Maguire from Leicester City during the summer transfer window, but Victor Lindelof is yet to convince on a consistent basis at the heart of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's back four.
The 20-time English champions are also allegedly lining up a £200m double deal for Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho and Red Bull Salzburg's Erling Haaland ahead of the January window.
