Manchester United have reportedly joined the race for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz, with the Red Devils prepared to battle the likes of Liverpool for the German's signature.
The 20-year-old scored 20 times in 42 appearances for Leverkusen last season, while he has struck twice in seven outings for the German club in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.
Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for the attacker alongside the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
However, according to The Express, the Red Devils are also in the hunt for the Germany international, who is valued in the region of £90m by senior figures at the BayArena.
Havertz, who came through the youth system at Die Werkself, is contracted to his current club until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
The youngster largely operates in a central attacking position, although he has played right wing for Leverkusen in the early stages of the season.
