Manchester United would reportedly be willing to sell Marcus Rashford during this summer's transfer window in order to make space for a box-official arrival at Old Trafford.
Rashford's future remains the subject of much speculation, with the 20-time English champions said to be open to substantial offers for the Englishman this summer.
The 26-year-old, who was left out of the Three Lions squad for Euro 2024, only managed eight goals and five assists in 43 appearances for Man United during the 2023-24 campaign.
However, he signed a long-term deal with the Red Devils in the summer of 2023 off the back of scoring 30 goals and registering 10 assists in 56 appearances in 2022-23.
According to Football Insider, Rashford's future remains open, with Man United willing to sell him later in the transfer window if they are able to bring in a box-office signing as his replacement.
Rashford 'could leave Man United this summer'
Paris Saint-Germain have previously been credited with an interest in Rashford, as the French giants prepare to bring in a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
There has also been links with Arsenal, although it is highly unlikely that Man United would be willing to let the forward move to a domestic rival.
Rashford only managed seven Premier League goals during the 2023-24 season, while he failed to find the back of the net during a disappointing Champions League campaign for the club.
There were also off-the-field problems, with the attacker causing controversy earlier this year when he visited a nightclub in Dublin on two separate evenings and then called in sick for training before his team's FA Cup fixture with Newport County.
Rashford's relationship with head coach Erik ten Hag is believed to have become strained towards the end of last season, but the Dutchman continued to back the player in public.
Which forwards are Man United being linked with?
Bologna's Joshua Zirkzee is currently being heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford, and it has been claimed that Man United are willing to activate the release clause in his contract, which is just under £34m.
There is also believed to be interest in Jonathan David, with the Canada international only having a contract at Lille until the end of next season.
Zirkzee struck 12 times for Bologna last term, while David managed 26 in all competitions, and the 24-year-old is also being linked with a switch to Chelsea this summer.
A recent report also claimed that Juventus are willing to offer Federico Chiesa to Man United as part of a deal which would see Mason Greenwood move to Turin.
A new striker is a priority for Man United this summer, as Anthony Martial's exit on a free transfer means that Rasmus Hojlund is currently the only first-team forward at Old Trafford. body check tags ::
