Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly made a trip to Austria to hold talks with Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Braut Haaland.
Although he was unable to help Salzburg qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, Haaland's performances in Europe have sparked a contested pursuit for his services.
Despite the 19-year-old previously insisting that he intends to see out the campaign at his current club, speculation persists regarding a potential transfer in January.
United are one of the frontrunners for the Norway international's signature, and the Daily Mail claims that compatriot Solskjaer flew out to speak with the youngster on Friday.
The pair are no strangers to each other with Solskjaer having handed Haaland his professional debut when the pair were both at Molde.
Solskjaer has since returned to Manchester to prepare for United's Premier League encounter with Everton on Sunday afternoon.
