Manchester United have reportedly joined Premier League rivals Liverpool in showing an interest in Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka.
The 21-year-old starred for the Austrian outfit last season, scoring 24 goals in 31 games as they won their domestic league for the seventh year in a row despite losing Erling Braut Haaland to Borussia Dortmund in January.
Daka played against Liverpool in the Champions League last season and more recently impressed against Jurgen Klopp's side in a pre-season friendly, scoring twice in a 2-2 draw.
The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool have been mulling over a move but could now face competition from Manchester United, who have also identified the forward as a possible target.
Salzburg are thought to want at least £20m for Daka, who only signed a new five-year contract last year.
Current Liverpool players Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and Takumi Minamino have all featured for Salzburg in the past.
