Manchester United and Manchester City could reportedly miss out on Porto's Eliaquim Mangala following reports that Barcelona are tracking the defender.
The 23-year-old is said to have attracted interest from Manchester, but Spanish giants Barca are said to have placed Mangala on a five-man shortlist.
According to Sport, the Catalan giants are considering Mangala as a potential replacement for captain Carles Puyol, who at 35 years old is expected to be coming towards the end of his career at Camp Nou.
City were reportedly close to a deadline-day double swoop for the defender and Porto teammate Fernando in January, but the proposed £50m deal never materialised.
