Manchester United allegedly remain the only club to make an official approach for Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs since the beginning of 2019, including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
A report has indicated that the latter are on course to complete a deal for the centre-back, although BBC Sport claims that no formal bid has been made at this stage of the summer transfer window.
United are said to have pressed ahead with their initial interest, only for De Ligt to decide that he did not want to make the switch to Old Trafford.
PSG are continuing to monitoring the situation, despite De Ligt seemingly being prepared to accept a lower offer from Juventus.
