Manchester United have reportedly ruled out the prospect of bringing Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to Old Trafford over the January transfer window.
The Swedish striker, who joined United on a free transfer in 2016, netted 28 goals in all competitions over the 2016-17 campaign under Jose Mourinho ahead of leaving for Los Angeles Galaxy in March 2018.
With Ibrahimovic's contract in California expiring next month, reports have suggested that United are interested in bringing about the return of Ibrahimovic in January.
However, according to Sky Sports News, United have no interest in targeting the 38-year-old ahead of the upcoming window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has instructed the United hierarchy to focus on signing a striker in January following the club's decision to dispense with and failure to replace attacking duo Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez over the summer.
Ibrahimovic impressed during his time in the United States, scoring 52 goals in 56 in two MLS campaigns, and has been linked with a return to Italy, where he previously enjoyed stints at Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan.
