Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to miss out on the signing of Spanish attacking midfielder Dani Olmo.
The Dinamo Zagreb youngster caught the eye with his performances for Spain at the European Under-21 Championships this summer, attracting attention from the Premier League.
The Red Devils and Spurs were both keen to land the 21-year-old but did not manage to secure his signature before the English transfer window for buying players closed.
Atletico Madrid, however, could be set to profit and bring Olmo back to his native Spain, with the Rojiblancos thought to have already held talks with the player's representatives, according to AS.
Atletico must still meet Zagreb's demands, with the Croatian outfit not keen to lose their prized asset on the cheap.
