Manchester United are reportedly yet to shelve their interest in signing Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish.
At a time when Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho remains on the club's radar, Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has now emerged as another potential addition.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the latest developments have not stopped United from considering a formal approach for Grealish.
Despite Villa said to be demanding in excess of £60m, it is suggested that United officials have been in contact with their counterparts at the West Midlands outfit over the past week.
The report adds that United may be prepared to offer at least one player, potentially either Dean Henderson or Sergio Romero, on loan as part of the proposal.
With Grealish still having three years left on his contract, Villa are in no rush to sell their star man.
