Bruno Fernandes has reportedly indicated that he is willing to sign a new contract at Sporting Lisbon, providing that he is allowed to leave the club next summer.
Despite being heavily linked with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid, Fernandes has remained with the Portuguese giants for at least the first half of the campaign.
Fernandes has recently suggested that he had agreed terms with Spurs, only for Sporting to be left unhappy with the financial package being offered by the Premier League side.
According to Record, this could result in the playmaker penning fresh terms with Sporting on the understanding that they do not stand in his way of finding a new club at the end of the season.
Rather than take a €5m (£4.5m) bonus which is allegedly due to him, the report suggests that Fernandes would prefer to accept a bigger basic wage.
The 24-year-old has contributed two goals and four assists from Sporting's opening four league matches.
