Manchester United are reportedly prepared to end their interest in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho ahead of the beginning of the new season.
While Sancho has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford throughout 2020, the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic have led to United having second thoughts over a transfer fee.
At a time when Dortmund are holding firm over a valuation of £108m, officials at the Premier League giants have no intention of paying that kind of money up front.
According to ESPN, United feel that the demands are unrealistic in the current market, leaving them prepared to walk away from discussions.
The dynamic of negotiations changed once it emerged that Sancho had a contract at the Westfalenstadion until 2023, a year longer than had previously been disclosed.
That factor has left Dortmund in no rush to cash in on the England international during the summer window.
