Manchester United are reportedly still optimistic of pushing through a deal to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The 20-year-old winger remains United's top transfer target despite speculation over his future having subsided a little in recent weeks.
Dortmund have publicly declared that Sancho will not be leaving the club after United missed their deadline to make a bid, while the German outfit are refusing to budge on their £108m asking price.
The Red Devils have also baulked at the wage demands and agent fees involved in the deal, but Sky Sports News reports that they are still hopeful that an agreement can be struck that will satisfy all parties.
Sancho is thought to be in favour of a move back to Manchester but is not willing to hand in a transfer request in an attempt to force the deal through.
United made their first signing of the summer earlier this month by bringing in Donny van de Beek from Ajax.
