Manchester United are reportedly increasing their interest in Porto's Brazilian defender Alex Sandro as their search for a left-back continues.
While Everton's Leighton Baines is still on top of David Moyes's wish list to replace Patrice Evra, whose contract expires at the end of the season, the 22-year-old is considered to be a viable alternative, given Everton's reluctance to part with the influential England international.
Moyes watched the left-back, one of several Manchester United transfer targets, in action during last week's Champions League game between Porto and Atletico Madrid.
Sandro, who joined the Portuguese club from Santos in 2011 for £8m, is currently rated at around £15m.
