Manchester United will reportedly make a big-money offer for Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Braut Haaland during the January transfer window.
Having netted seven times from four outings in the Champions League, Haaland is wanted by several top European clubs, including United.
While the Norway international is expected to see out the rest of the campaign with his current team, it appears that the Premier League giants are keen to steal a march on their rivals.
According to The Times, United are ready to bid in excess of £60m in an attempt to win the race for the 19-year-old.
Any approach from United is likely to be matched by other clubs, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus also said to be monitoring the situation.
RB Leipzig may also make a move for Haaland, knowing that they could sign the youngster for a lower fee due to both clubs being owned by Red Bull Group.
