Manchester United have reportedly informed Borussia Dortmund that they have no intention of paying more than £50m for in-demand attacker Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils have long been linked with a move for the England international, who has accumulated 59 goals and assists in the last two Bundesliga campaigns.
Sancho still has another couple of years to run on his contract, however, and Dortmund will not sell him on the cheap regardless of the current financial climate.
That means United will have to hand over a nine-figure sum if they are to land their top target this summer, but Sky Sports News claims that the Premier League side are only prepared to pay half that amount.
La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also believed to be interested in signing Sancho, though both clubs are in a similar predicament to United.
A failure to sign the 20-year-old could see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side go all out to bring in Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
