Bayern Munich have reportedly turned down a £45m bid from Manchester United for German World Cup winner Thomas Muller.
Reports emerged this week claiming that Louis van Gaal is keen to reunite with the 25-year-old, who worked under the Dutchman in 2009.
The forward was linked with the Premier League giants last summer, but opted to stay at the Allianz Arena after helping Germany to World Cup glory in Brazil.
According to The Express, United have opted to test the waters again with a big-money offer, but Bayern boss Pep Guardiola is determined to keep hold of Muller.
The attacker's contract with the Bundesliga champions expires in 2019.
