Manchester United reportedly intend to maintain their stance regarding Chris Smalling's £20m valuation.
Having spent the season on loan at Roma, it was expected that Smalling would be allowed to depart Old Trafford on a permanent deal.
However, the centre-back was a major hit at Stadio Olimpico, subsequently leading to United upping their asking price.
Despite Roma wishing to agree terms for Smalling, The Sun suggests that United will not let the 30-year-old remain in Italy for anything less than £20m.
After missing out on Champions League football, Roma are said to be pressing to push through a £15m deal over the coming weeks.
Smalling is allegedly prepared to take a wage cut in order to remain with the Giallorossi.
