Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on the situation of Pedri and Gavi at Barcelona in the hope that one of the two players could become available in the not too distant future.
The duo are regarded as among the best young talents in world football, with Pedri, 20, already making 111 appearances for the Catalan outfit in all competitions, while Gavi, 19, has featured 109 times.
Both players have contracts at Camp Nou until June 2026 with substantial release clauses, but Barcelona's financial problems could allegedly lead to them having to sell one of the players.
According to Sport, Man United are monitoring Pedri and Gavi, with the club ready to make a move if it becomes apparent that one of them is available for transfer.
The report claims that Barcelona would not even consider offers of less than €100m (£87m), which is unlikely to put off the Red Devils considering the potential of the Spain internationals.
Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be keeping an eye on the developments in terms of Barcelona's ongoing financial problems.
Gavi came through the youth system at Barcelona, and he has been a vital player in their last two campaigns despite still being a teenager, while he has already played 13 times this season, scoring twice and registering one assist in the process.
The Spaniard played the full 90 minutes of Saturday's El Clasico against Real Madrid but was unable to prevent his side from suffering a 2-1 defeat.
Pedri missed out against the league leaders, though, despite being able to train on Friday, as he works his way back from a thigh problem.
The midfielder, who arrived at Camp Nou from Las Palmas in 2020, has only played twice this season due to the issue that he suffered towards the end of August.
Pedri was close to returning to the squad against Real Madrid, though, and has a strong chance of being involved in Barcelona's next game with Real Sociedad on November 4.
The Spaniard's recent thigh problems have been concerning, and various reports have put the issues down to the amount of football that he has played over the last three years.
Despite the speculation, Barcelona are still said to be insisting that neither Gavi nor Pedri are for sale, with the club confident that they will be able to navigate their way through a difficult period off the pitch.
