Manchester United are preparing a 'huge' offer to prise Harry Kane away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to a report.
The England captain is believed to have informed Spurs of his desire to leave the club last week, and Man United have unsurprisingly been one of the top European sides linked with a move.
Manchester City are thought to be the frontrunners for Kane's signature, though, while Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would supposedly rather see him join a foreign club if he does leave.
However, The Times reports that Man United are readying a 'substantial' offer to steal a march on Chelsea and Man City, and the Red Devils were aware of Kane's desire to seek pastures new before the news broke.
The report claims that should Kane be forced to forfeit any loyalty bonuses at Spurs by submitting a formal transfer request, Man United will cough up the lost earnings as part of their offer.
The 27-year-old's 22 strikes in the 2020-21 Premier League sees him sit level with Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot before the final day, but he is set for another trophyless end to the season with Spurs. body check tags ::
