Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Real Madrid defender Alvaro Fernandez.
The 17-year-old, who primarily operates as a left-back, is available on a free transfer this summer, having turned down the chance to pen a new deal at the Bernabeu.
According to AS, Fernandez is heading for Old Trafford, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side agreeing a four-year contract with the Spaniard, who joined Madrid from Deportivo La Coruna in 2017.
The teenager is likely to represent United's Under-18 side next season with the view to progressing to the Under-23s and ultimately the first team.
Luke Shaw is currently United's first-choice left-back, while Brandon Williams has impressively made the step up from the academy to become a serious challenger in that area of the field, although both players are currently on the sidelines through injury.
Barcelona are believed to have been interested in the defender before he joined Madrid.
