Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle defensive midfielder Cheick Tiote.
The Ivory Coast international has attracted the attention of Alex Ferguson after United lost Tom Cleverley and Darren Fletcher to injury and illness.
Chelsea are also interested in the 25-year-old, but Manchester United will wait until the summer to make their move, according to The Mirror.
Tiote signed for Newcastle from FC Twente in August last year for £3.5m.
