Manchester United are reportedly set to have their move for goalkeeper Diogo Costa blocked by Porto.
Costa was a key figure in Portugal's run to the World Cup quarter-finals, playing every minute of their five matches as he moved to 11 caps for his country.
According to Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha, Costa will not be allowed to leave the Portuguese club during the middle of the season and any move in the summer would require the Red Devils to pay Costa's €75m (£65m) release clause.
Man United are understood to see Costa as a potential replacement for David de Gea, whose contract expires in the summer, although United are expected to exercise a one-year extension clause.
The 23-year-old keeper has nine clean sheets in 19 games this season for a Porto side who have the second-best defensive record in the Primeira Liga, as they sit second behind Benfica.
Costa came through Porto's academy and took the reins as the number one shot-stopper at the club in the 2021-22 season, playing 33 times in the league as they won a league and cup double. body check tags ::
