Chelsea are reportedly prepared to enter fresh discussions with midfielder Mason Mount next week over a potential contract extension, as the Blues look to commit his long-term future to Stamford Bridge.
The England international has struggled for form this season - not helped by the club's instability in terms of management - providing just five goal contributions in 24 Premier League starts.
Mount is entering the final year of his current deal in West London and is yet to agree fresh terms with his boyhood club - a situation which has attracted the attention of potential suitors.
According to 90min, Chelsea are set to hold new talks with Mount and his representatives next week, with the club believing that the imminent appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as manager will help convince the 24-year-old to stay.
It is understood that the delay in Mount signing a contract extension with Chelsea has ignited an interest from Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, with the report also claiming that Arsenal have notified Mount's representatives of their interest.
Recent reports have also suggested that Manchester United could be among the front-runners for his signature in a £55m deal.
Regardless of admirers elsewhere in the Premier League, the Blues are hopeful that the arrival of Pochettino - who is said to be a big fan of Mount - could be the deciding variable in the player's decision to stay put. body check tags ::
