Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that the Serie A club have submitted an offer for Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian.
The Italy international has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, starting just five Premier League games for the Red Devils last season.
Manager Jose Mourinho confirmed earlier this week that Darmian is up for sale, while the player himself has admitted that he is eager to seek pastures new.
"We have asked for Darmian on a loan with a right to sign next summer," Di Laurentiis told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
Inter Milan and Juventus have also been linked with a move for the 28-year-old.
