Paul Pogba is reportedly 'playing a big part in convincing' Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele to join Manchester United before Monday's transfer deadline.
The Red Devils are struggling to agree a deal for Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho and have allegedly identified Dembele as a possible loan signing in the latter stages of the window.
According to French journalist Julien Laurens, Pogba is attempting to convince his fellow Frenchman to move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
Laurens posted on his personal Twitter account that there is currently no agreement between the two clubs over a deal but 'negotiations are progressing positively'.
Barca are said to be open to loaning the 2018 World Cup winner to Old Trafford but would want his £215,000-a-week wages to be paid in full by the 20-time English champions.
The 23-year-old, who has struggled with a number of injury problems since a big-money move to Camp Nou in August 2017, has only played 20 minutes of La Liga football this season.
