Paris Saint-Germain could tempt Manchester United with a £100m offer for Wayne Rooney, according to reports.
The oil-rich Ligue 1 outfit have spent a massive amount of money since being taken over by Qatar Investment Authority last summer and are now believed to be in the market for a world-class striker.
According to The Metro, Carlo Ancelotti has set aside £100m to land the 26-year-old after admitting defeat in any attempt to lure Lionel Messi from Barcelona.
Rooney, who scored 27 Premier League goals last season, handed in a transfer request in 2010 but was persuaded to stay by Sir Alex Ferguson.
The potential move echoes that of Cristiano Ronaldo's world record £80m switch to Real Madrid in 2009.
