Adrien Rabiot is reportedly ready to turn down the chance to join Manchester United on a free transfer in order to sign a new contract at Juventus.

The 28-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2022, but it is believed that his wage demands saw Man United pull out of a deal.

There was again speculation surrounding his future earlier this year, but he ultimately penned a new one-year contract with Juventus in June to take him until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

As it stands, Rabiot is free to enter into talks with foreign clubs in January, and there have been claims that Man United are still interested in signing the France international.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the midfielder wants to sign a new contract in Turin due to his happiness playing under head coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The report claims that the Italian giants will offer Rabiot another one-year deal to take him until the summer of 2025 on the same wages.

Despite being able to earn more by moving to the Premier League, the Frenchman has allegedly decided to spend at least one more campaign in Italian football.

Rabiot has been a vital player for the Old Lady during the 2023-24 campaign, featuring on 13 occasions in Serie A, scoring twice and providing three assists in the process.

The midfielder ran down his contract at Paris Saint-Germain before signing for Juventus in July 2019, and he has represented the club on 190 occasions, scoring 19 goals and registering 15 assists in the process.

Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in Rabiot, who has netted four times in 42 appearances for France during his international career.

Man United's midfield department could again be overhauled next summer, as Casemiro is likely to leave, while it is unclear whether a permanent deal for Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat will be activated.

There has also been speculation surrounding the future of Christian Eriksen, while Donny van de Beek is set to depart in 2024 in search of first-team football.

Benfica's Joao Neves is believed to be Man United's leading midfield target, but it remains to be seen whether the club can convince the Portuguese giants to sell next summer.

On Friday, meanwhile, the Red Devils allegedly met with Borussia Dortmund to discuss the possibility of a swap deal involving Jadon Sancho and Donyell Malen next month.
