Leeds United attacker Raphinha is reportedly open to joining Manchester United this summer.

The 25-year-old was in impressive form for the Whites during the 2021-22 campaign, making 36 appearances in all competitions, contributing 11 goals and three assists in the process.

Meanwhile, he has scored 17 goals and registered 12 assists in 67 appearances for the Whites since making the move from Rennes in 2020.

Leeds managed to avoid relegation from the 2021-22 Premier League, but the Brazil international only has little over two years left to run on his contract at Elland Road and is believed to be keen to seek pastures new during this summer's transfer window.

Barcelona continue to be strongly linked with the attacker, while Arsenal and Man United have recently been credited with an interest in his services.

The rivalry that exists between Leeds and Man United would make it difficult for the 20-time English champions to sign the South American in the upcoming market.

However, according to The Express, Raphinha would be open to moving to Old Trafford this summer in order to play alongside his close friend and former teammate Bruno Fernandes.

"I miss Raphinha. He is a player with whom I had a different chemistry from the others, he understood me at a glance," Fernandes previously said when questioned on Raphinha, with the two players spending time together at Sporting Lisbon earlier in their careers.

Raphinha would allegedly have had a £25m release clause in his contract if Leeds were relegated from the Premier League, but the Whites just managed to stay up.

As a result, the buyout fee is believed to be closer to £64m, with Barcelona recently seeing a £47m offer for the attacker rejected.

Raphinha, who is capable of playing as both a right-sided and left-sided attacker, has scored 17 goals and registered 12 assists in 65 Premier League appearances for Leeds.

Man United are believed to be planning to bring a new centre-back, central midfielder and centre-forward to the club during this summer's transfer window.

However, a wide attacker is also thought to be a priority, with Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho struggling to contribute last term, and Juan Mata preparing to leave on a free transfer.

Raphinha has also scored three times in seven appearances for Brazil since making his debut for the South American nation last October.

The attacker was on the scoresheet for Leeds in their final match of the Premier League season against Brentford, making the breakthrough from the penalty spot in the 56th minute, before Jack Harrison ultimately won it for the Whites late on following an equaliser from Sergi Canos. body check tags ::
