Real Madrid will reportedly consider making a player-plus-cash offer for Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford this summer.
After scoring 30 goals and registering 11 assists in 56 games for the Red Devils last season, Rashford has struggled to show his best form during the 2023-24 campaign, chipping in with just five goals and six assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
The England international has recently been criticised for his poor conduct after being pictured at a nightclub in Belfast at the end of last month before calling in sick to training ahead of an FA Cup tie against Newport County.
Man United later addressed the issue and released a statement confirming that the "internal disciplinary matter" is now "closed".
Rashford has since started in each of the Red Devils' last three Premier League games, scoring once and helping Erik ten Hag's side win all three matches to climb up to sixth place in the table.
Man United's No.10 is under contract at Old Trafford until June 2026 and the Red Devils allegedly have no interest in selling the attacker this summer.
However, Spanish news outlet Real Madrid Exclusivo, via TEAMtalk, claims that La Liga leaders Real Madrid are interested in luring Rashford to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The report adds that Los Blancos will consider offering a cash sum plus winger Takefuso Kubo in exchange for Rashford.
Kubo currently plies his trade with Real Sociedad, but Real Madrid are said to have a €30m (£25.5m) buy-back clause in his deal, one that the Spanish giants intend to activate if they step up their pursuit of Rashford.
The Japan international failed to make a single appearance during his time with Los Blancos between 2019 and 2022 and was instead shipped out on loan four times before joining Sociedad on a permanent deal.
Kubo has since developed into a star player for Sociedad, scoring six goals and providing four assists in 27 matches across all tournaments this season.
Man United have previously been credited with an interest in Kubo, but it remains to be seen whether he would be interested in a move to Old Trafford having only just extended his contract with Sociedad until June 2029.
It is thought that Real Madrid would still have to fork out a significant fee as well as Kubo if they wish to sign Rashford, who is allegedly valued by Man United at around £120m.
Carlo Ancelotti's side are known to be in the market for a new attacker this summer, with Rashford said to be among their list of targets along with teammate Rasmus Hojlund and Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe
Rashford, who has contributed with 128 goals and 74 assists in 388 appearances during his eight-year senior career at Man United, has also attracted interest from Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window, while PSG and Barcelona are two more clubs that have been linked with the attacker. body check tags ::
