Real Madrid have reportedly had an £80m bid for centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly rejected by Napoli.
Madrid are believed to be in the market for a new central defender this summer amid suggestions that club captain Sergio Ramos is considering walking away from the Bernabeu ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Madrid launched an £80m bid for Koulibaly but the offer was snubbed by Napoli, who have also reportedly rejected a £95m approach from Manchester United.
Koulibaly, who arrived in Naples from Genk in the summer of 2014, scored twice in 48 appearances for Napoli during the 2018-19 campaign.
The 27-year-old is believed to have a £110m release clause in his current deal, which Napoli want activated if he is to leave in this summer's transfer window.
Madrid are also said to be monitoring Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk as a possible replacement for Ramos.
