Real Madrid have reportedly emerged as a possible destination for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes ahead of the end of the summer transfer window.
While Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were each strongly linked with Fernandes earlier this month, neither of the Premier League giants opted to meet Sporting's valuation.
With Fernandes said to be keen to take on a new challenge, that has seemingly left Sporting in limbo as they attempt to maximise any potential fee for the 24-year-old.
According to AS, that has resulted in the Portuguese club making contact with Real to ask whether they are interested in making an offer.
The report adds that Real are now considering a bid for the playmaker, who is likely to cost somewhere in the region of £60m.
Sporting will allegedly not contemplate selling Fernandes for anything below his price-tag.
