Real Madrid are reportedly considering launching a fresh approach for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
Despite having been continually linked with an eventual switch to the Bernabeu, De Gea recently extended his Old Trafford contract to 2023, with the option of an extra 12 months.
However, The Sun claims that Real may still be prepared to make a fresh bid for the Spaniard as they consider potential replacements for Thibaut Courtois.
Although the former Chelsea man has enjoyed an improved spell at the Bernabeu since August, it appears that Los Blancos could be willing to part with £70m for De Gea.
As it stands, it is unclear whether United would be prepared to cash in on the long-serving stopper, despite several individual errors having been made in recent months.
Much could depend on if the Premier League giants view Dean Henderson, currently on loan at Sheffield United, as a ready-made replacement.
