Midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly been dealt a blow in his efforts to leave Manchester United.
Pogba revealed in June that he was keen to take on a new challenge away from Old Trafford, leading to speculation regarding a potential switch to Real Madrid or Juventus.
While the 26-year-old remained at Old Trafford for the first half of the campaign, it has recently been suggested that the France international could secure his exit in January.
However, according to Marca, Real have already informed the World Cup winner that they will not be making an approach at the start of 2020.
The report suggests that the form of Federico Valverde means that Los Blancos no longer feel that they need to strengthen in the centre of the pitch.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also said on Friday that United were not looking to sell Pogba in the next transfer window.
