Burnley are reportedly eager to land Manchester United's young attacker Jesse Lingard on a loan basis.
Clarets manager Sean Dyche is believed to have watched the 20-year-old in action for United's development side against their Liverpool counterparts last week.
He was impressed with what he saw from the England Under-21 international, who despite having shone during United's pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia, is not thought to be part of David Moyes's immediate plans at Old Trafford.
As a result, Dyche is hoping that he can convince the Scottish boss to allow Lingard to sign on at Turf Moor on a season-long loan deal, according to The People.
The Warrington-born player spent part of the last campaign with Burnley's Championship rivals Leicester City.
