A fresh report has emerged suggesting that David de Gea is ready to sign a new long-term deal at Manchester United.
The Spaniard's future has seemingly been up in the air as he enters the final 18 months of his current contract, with Real Madrid said to be the main contender to land the stopper's signature in the summer.
However, The Express claims that Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti has cooled any interest in signing the 24-year-old, and will instead stick with existing options Iker Casillas and Keylor Navas.
De Gea, who is rumoured to have a valuation of around £50m, is now said to be close to putting pen to paper to end any speculation over his future.
United goalkeeping legend Peter Schmeichel recently urged the former Atletico Madrid star to turn down any interest from Spanish giants Real.
