Manchester United will reportedly attempt to re-sign former captain Nemanja Vidic in January if he is allowed to leave Inter Milan.
The defender ended an eight-year spell at Old Trafford last summer, joining the Italian side on a free contract ahead of this season.
According to The Express, the Serie A side are considering offloading the Serbian in the New Year after failing to make an impact at the club, with United preparing to offer him a six-month contract if he becomes available.
Vidic has made just eight appearances under Walter Mazzarri.
