Adrien Rabiot is reportedly eyeing up a move to Liverpool, despite Manchester United showing a more concrete interest in his services.
The 24-year-old will officially become a free agent in the next few weeks after running down his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
A move to Barcelona in January fell through for the France international, although he is believed to have plenty of options still available to choose from, given that he is available for nothing in terms of a transfer fee.
United are said to have offered the midfielder a £9m-a-year deal, on top of a £4.5m signing bonus, but The Sun suggests that he is stalling on agreeing terms with the Red Devils.
Rabiot is instead rumoured to be holding out for an approach from Premier League rivals Liverpool, who may see him as a smart investment.
The Reds are celebrating their sixth European Cup triumph after beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the Champions League final on Saturday.
